AWR News

Annual Offering 2014

Out of China’s vast population of 1.3 billion people, only three to four percent are Christian, making it the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s largest mission field. AWR is broadcasting programs in Mandarin for 10 hours a day to China through shortwave radio, and programs are also produced in Uighur, Cantonese, Min Nam, and Tibetan.

All of our radio programs – in nearly 100 languages – can also be heard on demand and as podcasts. Mandarin is currently our #1 downloaded program, with listeners accessing the content from more than 60 countries. The second most-popular language is Arabic, which represents another vast mission field that also reaches around the globe.

AWR truly is a frontline ministry. We invite you to partner with us – especially during our annual offering on March 8 – in introducing Christ to those who have never heard His name.

To learn more about AWR’s work, download our short offering video or read our feature article on AWR’s work in China.

While church members may support AWR through offerings given at their local church, many choose to send their gifts directly to AWR’s headquarters office in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA. This enables us to send direct receipts for each gift, and to share regular reports on the results of AWR’s ongoing ministry.
